Les Colporteurs is one of the most famous circus companies in France and has been uniting the best tightrope walkers in original productions for years.
In 'Méandres' the American Molly Saudek dances on three tightly stretched ropes around the Chinese pole of the French acrobat Marie Tribouilloy.
The performance is a meeting between the vertical and the horizontal with a unique installation as a stage. The construction also functions as a musical instrument, played by the movements of the two acrobats. The vibrations and friction of hands and feet on the steel create special soundscapes. Circus like you've never seen before,
certainly not in the atmospheric setting of the Laurenskerk. Upon entering you will also be welcomed by music from the church organ.
Last year this performance could not take place due to an injury. We are happy and proud to be able to present 'Méandres' this year.
