On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May you can participate in a two-day masterclass by Jimmy Gonzalez; one of the world's most unique jugglers who travels to Rotterdam especially for Circusstad Festival. On Friday evening he is one of the stars in the Circusstad Gala. On Saturdays and Sundays he shares his knowledge and experience with advanced jugglers. So if you are a professional, student or serious recreational practitioner of juggling, immerse yourself for two days in the juggling universe of Jimmy Gonzalez.  

Jimmy studied at the Montreal circus school and won the gold medal at the Cirque de Demain festival in Paris with his special performance in which he juggles clay as a visual artist.

In addition to being a technically strong juggler, Jimmy is also a dancer/choreographer and in the masterclass you will work under his guidance for two days on the “dynamic landscapes” improvisation method. Juggling balls and movement are central to this method. Juggling almost becomes second nature and you learn to move freely through space, observe each other and respond to each other to create dynamic juggling landscapes.
