Klezmagic is one of the most infectious bands on the Amsterdam music scene at the moment. With rousing brass sections and lyrical violins, the eight-piece Balkan band makes every room dance. Klezmagic is not only a band but above all a close-knit group of friends, which creates an
irresistible chemistry between the musicians on stage. In the summers, the group travels through Europe in a camper to perform on the streets, resulting in a loyal
fan base both at home and abroad.

The band was founded in 2009 by Turkish-Dutch clarinetist Emirhan Tuğa,
to pass on traditional Balkan music to a new generation of
musicians. Since their split in 2019, the band has grown into an
independent group of fanatical musicians and Klezmagic has established its name in
Amsterdam and far beyond.

Since their debut album MAKEDAMSKO (2019), the band has developed their own sound
and released several singles, an EP and a full-length live album.
Their EP De Grote Race (2022) is a colorful mix of self-written work that explores the boundaries
of Balkan, klezmer, ska and world music. In 2023, the band decided to release the
unparalleled energy of their live shows in a live album that contains both their own material and reworked traditionals.

In addition to several collaborations with the Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Klezmagic
has expanded its list of live shows with performances in Paradiso, Cinetol,
Mezrab, Delft Jazz Festival, the Rolling Kitchens weekend, Carré theater, the
April festivals, the Hemeltjelief festival, Sexyland and the Lepeltje Lepeltje festival.
