CIRCUSSTAD TALKS: MEETING & DEEPENING
We seize the momentum of the festival to facilitate encounters between makers and audiences. We delve into specific themes and organize panel talks and interactive meetings where makers and audiences engage in conversation. Discover the stories behind the acts, delve into current themes and be inspired by the future of circus.

‘Buitengewoon’ is a co-creation trajectory of Circusstad Festival, Theater Babel and maker Liza van Brakel in which professional circus artists create a performance together with people with an intellectual disability. During this session, the people involved and artists share experiences and insights: why do we do this, what are the challenges and what does it yield? Attendees are challenged to think about co-creation, representation within a professional context and the future of inclusive circus. Together we shape the circus field.
