In a series of choreographies filled with hypnotic juggling patterns, it is precisely their misses that take center stage. Juggling balls transform into powerful metaphors for how we deal with pressure, missteps, and the gaze of others. Droplines is an intimate and unexpected celebration of imperfection and an ode to the failing human.
Tall Tales Company creates visual circus performances in which object manipulation and acrobatics are used to tell stories. Driven by a fascination with human nature, the company creates layered and accessible shows; magical, risky, and with a touch of humor.
Tall Tales was founded in 2012 by Harm van der Laan and Maartje Bonarius, who met at the circus training program at Codarts in Rotterdam. Schoolyards throughout Rotterdam will get a preview of this starting at the end of March. Droplines during the Circusstad stadsparade.
