Circusstad\u202fFestival\u202fis looking for proposals from\u202fcircus\u202ftalent\u202fwho would like to develop their idea into a full concept and\u202ftake the first steps in their creation\u202fin\u202fSeptember\u202f\/ October 2025.\u202f<\/strong>\u00a0 Circusstad\u202fFestival\u202fsupports the Dutch Circus\u202ffield and emerging circus talent. We co-produce and\u202fcommission\u202fto challenge Dutch circus companies\/makers to take an exciting step in their artistic development and we program Dutch companies with their shows and work-in-progresses during Circusstad\u202fFestival in May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Circunstruction<\/strong> is the residency program of Circusstad Festival that supports new creations by emerging talent. It concentrates on developing a profound concept and the first weeks of creating the new performance. Next to that, we offer workshops that will help you professionalize your\u202fpractice\u202fin the circus and performing\u202farts field.\u202f\u202f We\u2019re looking forward to your proposals! What we ask:<\/strong>\u202f\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 An idea for the content of a new circus performance and the interest to deepen out your idea\/theme in correlation to your\u202faspired\u202faudience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 You live\/work in the Netherlands, preferably in or around Rotterdam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 You\u2019ve graduated from\u202fCodarts\u202for\u202fFontys or have professional circus experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Availability in September, October, and in the beginning of November 2024. (Make sure that you are free from 10 till 14 November). <\/p>\n\n\n\n What we offer:\u202f\u202f\u202f <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Support by developing a profound concept. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Budget\u202ffor about 1 to 3 artists\u202ffor creation (approx.\u202f2-3 weeks) and performances, artistic advice\u202f(e.g.\u202fdirector\/dramaturg), and\u202fa small budget for travel costs, costumes, props, set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Workshops in dramaturgical feedback, budgeting, fundraising, marketing\/branding, assistance in making a simple light plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Possibilities to do public try-outs and a in the end a professional showing at Maaspodium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 Possibly more performing options\u202fduring\u202fCircusstad\u202fFestival\u202fin\u202fMay 2026.
